  • 13 ounces turkey sausage, sliced
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Cooked white rice, for serving
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Reserve two-thirds of the sauce.
  2. Marinate the shrimp in the remaining sauce for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook broccoli until tender-crisp, then remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and brown the sliced turkey sausage.
  5. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet; cook until pink and opaque.
  6. Return reserved sauce to the skillet, simmer for 3-5 minutes, then toss in broccoli before serving over rice.
