  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • optional: turkey bacon (for a lighter twist)

Instructions

  1. Gather and prepare all ingredients by chopping vegetables and dicing the chicken.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and cook the chicken until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
  4. Sprinkle flour over veggies; stir to combine. Gradually add chicken broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Return cooked chicken (and turkey bacon if using) to the skillet, stirring to coat in sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with warm garlic naan, fluffy rice, or crispy fries.
