  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries, (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cold water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, (melted)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, (packed)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, (softened)
  • â…” cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk, (or more as needed for desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. Warm the whole milk and water to 110°F. Combine with sugar and yeast; let sit until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, flour, and salt; knead until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl for one hour.
  3. Cook half the blueberries with sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt until thickened; fold in remaining blueberries.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll dough into pieces, coat in melted butter and cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Layer dough pieces in a bundt pan, adding blueberry sauce between layers. Bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add confectioners' sugar and milk to achieve desired glaze consistency.
  7. Drizzle glaze over warm monkey bread before serving.
