  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp yellow cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Crisp up diced turkey bacon in a cast iron pan over medium heat until crispy. Set aside and discard excess fat.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux; cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes. Then mix in milk and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  4. Lower heat and stir in cream cheese and both shredded cheeses until melted and smooth.
